Modifying an Unpublished Dataset

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Navigate to the dataset you want to modify. 
  3. Choose the appropriate tab for your changes and click the Edit.
    • Files tab: Here, you can restrict access to a file or set an embargo (up to 36 months). Note that embargoed files cannot be accessed before the embargo period ends.
      Ensure the 00.README file remains unrestricted; 
    • Metadata tab: Make corrections, add supplementary information, or introduce new fields to the dataset description;
    • Licenses and Terms tab: Change the license from the default CC0 to another option from the predefined list. 
  4. Save all changes to ensure your modifications are applied.

Deleting a Draft Dataset

  1. Select Edit Dataset and then Delete Dataset.
  2. A confirmation message will appear. If you are sure you want to delete the dataset, click Continue.  
  3. After deleting the draft dataset, you will not receive an email notification. The deletion information will be displayed in the Notifications section of your account.

Modifying a Published Dataset

  1. Log in and navigate to the published dataset you want to modify.
  2. Enter the additional information and select Submit for verification. This process is the same as the initial data submission.
  3. Depending on the extent of the changes, the dataset will be assigned version 1.1 or 2.0, which can be found in the Versions tab.

Note: You can cancel the publication of a new version independently only before the data steward publishes it. To delete the draft version, click Edit Dataset and Delete Draft, then confirm your action. Deleting the draft version cannot be undone.
