Linking datasets

In RODBUK, it is possible to map (link) a dataset between different collections within the same institution. As a result, the dataset appears in the content list of more than one collection, even though it is not directly deposited there. The dataset remains under the control of the person who created it.

To link a dataset to a different collection than the one it was created in, click Link Dataset – enter the name of the collection to which it should be connected, and then save the connected dataset. Linking is indicated by a paperclip icon.

It is not possible to link datasets between instances of different institutions. Therefore, if a project is being carried out in collaboration with other institutions within RODBUK, check before creating a new dataset whether the data has already been deposited in another instance.
