Step 1. Permissions

A user who wants to deposit research data for the first time must create an account within the instance of his/her institution. To create an account, he/she must log in via the Central Authentication System (CSU) and accept the RODBUK Terms of use.

As the data steward of the instance, you will automatically receive an email notification about a new user in the Repository. It is your responsibility to log into the instance and assign the appropriate permissions to the new user:

Select the appropriate unit (Faculty/College/Institute) to which the user is affiliated – right side of the screen – click Edit – Permissions – in the Users/Groups window, type the surname or select from the list – below, check the role Dataset Creator – save the changes. 

After saving the changes, the user will automatically receive an email notification that he/she has been granted the necessary permissions to deposit data (dataset creator) and has been assigned to the collection corresponding to his/her affiliated unit.
